Uses of Praziquantel
Praziquantel is used to treat intestinal amoebiasis, hepatic amoebiasis, worm infections, schistosoma infections, diarrhea, periodontitis, liver abscesses, and filariasis.
Praziquantel's mode of action

Praziquantel paralyzes the worms' muscles and causes them to twitch violently. The feces then contains some types of worms. However, because they can occasionally be totally destroyed in the intestines, you might not see them. This cures your infection.

3. Schedule: If multiple doses are required in one day, space them 4 to 6 hours apart.
4. Hydration: Drink plenty of fluids during the treatment period. 

Important Precautions

• Breastfeeding: This medication passes into breast milk. Do not breastfeed on the day of treatment and for 72 hours afterward.
• Driving: Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery on the day of treatment and the following day, as it may cause dizziness or drowsiness.
• Seizure History: Inform your doctor if you have a history of epilepsy or seizures, as specific monitoring may be required.
• Cysticercosis: This drug should be used with caution if you have neurocysticercosis (parasitic infection of the brain).

Important Precautions
